Over the years, we’ve seen many web companies that provide design and hosting services for a period of time then move on to other ventures. 

This happens for many different reasons; an entrepreneur wants to move on to another opportunity, a great designer gets a job offer she can’t pass up, a developer moves into something more specialized.

A couple of years ago we had an amazing opportunity to help a gentleman who was in one of those exact situations. He had built a successful web design and hosting business with a base of clients that he sincerely cared about. Then he came across a job that was too good to turn down. Not knowing what to do with his business, he began trying to juggle a full-time job and the needs of web clients.

Reality quickly set in.  He would not be able to continue providing the same level of care that his clients were used to and he was worried that if things continue on like this for long, his book of business would dwindle down to nothing. In fact, while he was trying to keep everything on his plate, he was already losing clients.  One of his clients started searching for a new web designer, and they found us. After the client told us of the situation, we started kicking around the idea of buying out the previous host.

We approached him and he liked what we offered. The chance to cash out on his book of business, which he feared was in danger of becoming worthless, while at the same time knowing that his clients would be well taken care of was a win-win in his eyes. Of course, he had many questions for us and we wanted to learn more about his business but we quickly came to a fair agreement and signed a deal.

Almost all of his clients are still enjoying our services today and he is enjoying his job, free of the stress that accompanies 2 full-time jobs.
